NIKKI EASTERBROOKS, CHEF

 

My love affair with food started at the ripe old age of 7, when after helping my Mom with dinner, I proclaimed (read = insisted) that I would be making a batch of chocolate chip cookies all by myself. My parents left me to it on a Saturday night and three hours later, the most beautiful golden cookies emerged from the oven. They were still hot when I popped one in my mouth. (I still have that recipe, by the way.)

Many meals (and cookies) later, I escaped the corporate world so I could craft seasonal, crave-worthy food full time for folk who have less free time than ever today. Let’s face it: By the time you get home, all you want something you can quickly heat and eat. Or maybe you’re in charge of an upcoming event — big or small — that needs unique and yummy food made and delivered with exquisite care.
